Collaboration of Voice Crack – Guhl/Möslang ends

In 1972 Andy Guhl (*1952) and Norbert Möslang (*1952) started their musical collaboration which they continued since 1986 together as Voice Crack. In countless live concerts and numerous records and DVDs the artists developed a specific concept of sound creation and sound recycling that got recognized worldwide and made them one of the most experimental Swiss acts in the field of electronic music.

While in the beginning they still played traditional music instruments they soon turned to self-developed instruments which they called “cracked everyday electonics”. The self-made sound machines were not played in the studio or in concerts only, they were also used for sound installations within the context of the visual arts. While their work could be followed in concerts all around the globe it was also exhibited in museums and institutions such as the Kunstmuseum St.Gallen, the Kunsthalle St.Gallen or the 49th Biennal in Venice.

After 30 years of intense collaboration Andy Guhl and Norbert Möslang have decided to go their separate ways in the future. They will however both continue their careers in music and the visual arts.
